Numbers is an eight and a half minute ambient instrumental piece that combines mystery with meditative beauty to create an atmosphere that's both contemplative and thought provoking.  Subtle slide guitar, piano and other ambient treatments and effects blend to form an evocative soundscape.

The recording is inspired by  the enigmatic phenomenon of shortwave radio "Numbers Station" broadcasts.  Thought to be the covert communications of various spy and intelligence organizations to their operatives in the field,  these anonymous repetitions of number strings and cryptic phrases have surfaced regularly across the shortwave spectrum since the end of World War One.
